GD-OTS MS provides a service of responsible destruction of surplus explosives and explosive wastes to customers who share our basic value of SH&E responsibility.

Environmental Health and Safety

One of our most valuable assets is the environmental permits that have been issued to GD-OTS MS. These permits allow us to prove explosive waste disposal services to our customers in compliance with EPA rules and regulations, specifically those of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Title V of the Clean Air Act (CAA) and National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) and associated Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) standards, and the Clean Water Act (CWA). Our permits are issued by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources under approval of the Federal EPA. Our compliance with the requirements of our operating permits protects our surrounding environment, community, and our employees.

We follow the health and safety rules, regulations and guidelines of OSHA, ATF, the Institute of Makers of Explosives (IME), and the Department of Defense in the design and operation of our explosives facilities to ensure the safety and health of our employees and the surrounding community.

We apply the principles of process safety management to all of our operations, conducting hazard analyses of equipment, processes, work procedures, and work instructions to provide the greatest safety possible to our employees and the surrounding community.
