Many explosive materials and devices cannot be directly fed to our Rotary Kiln Incinerator (RKI). So in order to make them “incinerable”, GD-OTS MS has developed several preprocessing methods and equipment, to include:

• Repackaging of bulk materials into smaller quantities
• Disassembly of items using various pieces of automated disassembly equipment
• Delinking of linked ammunition
• Sawing of items to reduce the quantity of or expose the explosive filler
• Shearing of solid propellants
